I read an article in the Wall Street Journal about an area in Nevada that is preparing for the annual invasion from the Mormon Cricket. Check it out here. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124052112850249691.html
It sounds like there are millions of them. They even use a snowplow to clear them off the road! The thing that interested me is when they were talking about using hard rock to drive them away. They said they might even come up with a playlist to combat the pesky creatures. Off the top of my head, I came up with a few songs that would help.
1. Pantera-- By Demons be driven
2. Prong-- Snap your fingers, snap your neck
3. Superjoint Ritual-- Creepy crawl
4. Gwar-- Maggots
5. Slayer--Metalstorm/Face the Slayer
6. Carcass-- Keep on Rotting in the Free World
7. Napalm Death-- Suffer the Children
8. Cathedral-- Enter the Worms
9. Metallica-- Creeping Death
10. Deicide-- Dead by Dawn
Those were just a couple I thought of. Naturally, they could just put any Slayer cd on repeat, but I think that would kill everyone's lawn.
cd pick of the day--White Zombie-- La Sexorcisto. There is so much more to this than Thunderkiss and Black Sunshine

Infomerc-Hell
With the jobs I have, I watch tv at odd hours of the day. It never fails that there is either one or both of these infomercials on. The first one is for cleaning your colon! The host is some creepy looking guy who looks like he just got done working 9 to 5 at the morgue. I've only could handle watching a couple of minutes but I know he talks about the frequency and size of your bowel movements. I think I even saw a picture of a turd. Great! That is exactly what I like to be thinking about at 4 in the morning. The other infomercial is for some boner pills. According to the show, it seems like every male they talk to on the street take these pills. Who knew? The sleazy looking chicks that are the hosts are way into it and sound like they would never even consider having a relationship with someone who does not enhance. Imagine explaining that to your friends. Suzi decided to go out with me because I started taking boner pills, not because she actually likes me! I guess the infomercials for Tae Bo and the Veg-a-matic are just too boring these days. At least I can always just bypass the infomercials and turn the channel. I heard the are showing videos on MTV again. I could watch those videos, but I'm not sure what is worse: the infomercials or what passes as popular music these days.

The Weasel
What's going on? This is my first blog ever. The powers that be gave me the hook up so now I will ocassionally give you a glimpse into my world and things that intrigue me (and probably bore you!).
Over the weekend I took my wife on a long overdue date to go see Pauly Shore. He was performing at the Comedy Quarter in Neenah (as one overzealous fan needed to remind Pauly everytime he said he was in Appleton). It was a funny show. He did a little bit of his Weasel routine and mixed it in with a lot of self-depracating remarks. Pauly has matured a bit, but he still remembers where he came from. I know some people laughed when I told them I was going to see Pauly Shore (they're too cool?), but everyone had a good time. I think I might have scored a few points with my wife by finally taking her out on a date for the first time in a while.
Saturday was also National Record Store day. Kudos to those who remembered! I did my part and hit up the local record shop. On my way out, I run into a Mr. John Jordan. I think he was following me because that was the second time that day we ran into each other. Hmmm..... I did my part by making a few purchases. I was very excited to pick up the Exclusive Slayer vinyl that was released that day. It's a new song called Psychopathy Red. Look for it on Over the Edge soon!!
Glad to see the Brewers finally could will one again!
